Ralph "Pop" Conrad, age 95, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg with loving family by his side. He was born on April 2, 1926 to Harvey and Gale (Eaton) Conrad in Grelton, Ohio. Ralph graduated from Liberty Center High School where he excelled at sports, especially football. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly during WWII. Ralph retired from Driggs Dairy in 1985 after 35 years as a mechanic. He was a jack of all trades, and could do anything. Ralph enjoyed home projects, helping others and his family. He liked hunting, fishing and grew up farming which he truly loved. Ralph loved spending time with his family and all of his grandchildren. His smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Marguerite Conrad; brother, Harold Conrad; and sister, Pauline Tobias. Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Pam Roytek and Ron (Brenda) Conrad; grandchildren, Melissa Roytek, Jenni (Sam) Roytek, Micki (Denny) Haley, Samantha (Corey) Scharer, and Ron (Sara) Conrad, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Gregory, Gavin, Danny, Haley, Conrad, Carson, Corrine, Presley, Parker, Ronnie III, Teddy and Elise; and special niece, Kathy (Ron) Moore.
Private Family Services were held at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300).
