On April 25, 2018 just before the sun rose on the horizon, Ralph W. Brenneman went peacefully to eternal sleep, surrounded by love. He was born May 28, 1940 to Ethel and Harry Brenneman in Toledo. Ralph was a gentle, kind, giving, compassionate man who treasured his family, dear friends and several beloved dogs over the years. He loved sports, especially baseball and had been an excellent player in his day. Ralph enjoyed camping and sitting around a fire with his buddies. He was fond of chewing gum, lemon pies and all sweets!
Ralph's passion however was fishing. The fish in Portage River and Lake Erie are safer now. Beloved husband, father, papa, brother and friend, he will be missed dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Ronald Brenneman. Left to hold him dear in their hearts are his wife of 56 years, Barbara Brenneman; daughters, Suzanne (Ted) Ziegler, Tina (Lee Miles) Kluczynski and Karen (Dave) Gerbi; grandchildren, Justin Ziegler, Ashley, Alex, and Marissa Gerbi, Brittany, Madeline and Jacob Kluczynski; siblings, Lewis Brenneman and Betty (Paul) Andryzcik; and many other family members and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 5 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
