Rachel DeFalco, age 82, of Toledo, passed away peacefully November 23, 2018. She was born November 17, 1936 in Fremont, OH to Norman and Gertrude (Cook) Warns. Rachel always aspired to be a hairdresser and went to cosmetology school in the 70's. She worked for several salons prior to owning her own salon.
Rachel is survived by her son, Darrell DeFalco of San Leon, TX; daughter, Dawn DeFalco of Luckey, OH; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Helen) Warns and Kenneth (Margaret) Warns; daughter-in-law, Wynette Middlebrooks. In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her partner of 27 years, David Lyle; son, Duane Eugene "Geno" Ulrich; sister, Norma Jean McKibbin; brothers, Lawrence Shockley, Jim and Pete Warns. Special thank you to Theresa Ulrich for the care and compassion for Rachel over the years.
The family will receive guests, Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo (419-381-1900). Memorial services will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society in Rachel's memory.
