Quintella Willietta Graves, 77, departed this life on January 30, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
She graduated from Libbey High School and afterwards was employed at the then State Hospital. Later she worked at the corner Cut Rate Store until she began to have health challenges, one being Lupus. She was a real trooper and never let it get her down. Quin had a heart of gold and showed her Christianity in many ways. She was also strong-willed (Oh boy!) and outspoken. She was an outstanding mother to her sons. Her pasttimes included crafting, sewing, bingo, fishing, cooking, giving to others, games on her phone, casinos and scratch offs. She was greatly loved by all who knew her.
Quin was preceded in death by parents Johnnie Russell and Ada Beatrice Graves, brothers, John Orlando and Stanley Graves, and sister, Marlene Graves. Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Gary, Jomoko, and Carlos Graves (whom she parented), sisters Gwendolyn Jackson, Ronita (Jim) McCreary, and beloved granddaughter Alannah Graves.
The family will be receiving guests Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614, with a funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
