Preston L. Flynt

Preston "Pete" L. Flynt, 66, of Toledo, passed away peacefully April 1, 2022 at University of Toledo Medical Center. Preston was born September 20, 1955 in Madison, NC to Rachel Flynt Hairston. Preston and his brother were raised by Martha and John Dalton in Toledo, OH where he graduated from Calvin M. Woodward High School in 1974.

Preston loved to cook, he always made sure that his friends and family were well fed and that his aunt never wanted for anything.

He is survived by his brother, David (Sharon) Flynt; nephews, David II and Jerome Flynt; great-niece, Jada Flynt; aunt, Hellen Warren; cousins, Arnie Gerren, Juanita Hardy, and Willie Kellam, James Edwards Mitchell, William, Howard, and James Moore, Delbert (Rebecca) Duckins Jr, Jeniene (Ron) Hall, Michael Dalton, Sonya and Tonya Jackson, Ronald (Sharisse) Jackson Jr, and Craig (Teressa) Bradley; special aunts and uncles, Delbert Duckins, Betty and Ronald Jackson.

Preston was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Hairston; parents, Martha and John Dalton; aunt, Bessie Hairston; and special aunt, Shirley Duckins.

A memorial service will be held in Preston's honor at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614 (419-381-1900) beginning at 3:30 p.m. where they will receive guests beginning at 3 p.m.
