Phyllis Ann Jordan, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Ebeid Hospice. She was born on March 23, 1956, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Walter Lawler and Pauline Cunningham.
Phyllis was a graduate of Libbey High School and had worked for a cook at the Juvenile Justice Center for sixteen years. For enjoyment and relaxation, she enjoyed watching her soap operas, a few being, Bold and Beautiful, General Hospital, and Young and the Restless, and then talking with her daughter about it. Phyllis was known as being a kind and loving woman who would do anything for anybody. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. The moments spent together will forever be remembered.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband, Robert Jordan; children, Jesse Lawler, Walter Lawler, and Aleshia Siggers; step-children, Cassandra and Deanna Jordan; ones that she raised like her own, Willie Gregory, Katina Henson, Ronald Houston, and Cheryl Houston; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Lawrence Keith (Louise) Lawler and Courtney Robinson; special brother-in-law, Steven Jordan; and a special friend, Tammy Foster.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lashonna Denise Lawler; granddaughter, Danyel Burns; brother, Raymond Lawler; father and mother-in-law, Ardell and Lula Mae Jordan; and a sister-in-law, Tracy Jordan.
Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Thursday, January 27, 2022, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, where her funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm, with Pastor William Lyons, Sr. officiating. Interment to follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
