Phyllis Irene Horner
Phyllis I. Horner, age 70 of Delta, Ohio, formerly of Pt. Place passed away Wednesday, October 27th, 2004 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 14, 1934 to Thomas and Helen (Sparks) Renfro in Toledo. Phyllis was employed with the Academy of Medicine for 15 years and State Bank in Wauseon, for 2 years and was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was also the owner of the former Clay House Ceramics Shop. Phyllis was an artist enjoying ceramics and oil painting. She displayed and sold many of her pieces at the Fulton County Fair over the years. Phyllis was also a talented seamstress and made several dolls for her grandchildren. Most importantly she cherished the time spent with family and friends.
In addition to her parents Phyllis was preceded in death by her step brother, Ken Thomas and step-sister, Patty Thomas. Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard "Dick" Horner; children, Victoria (Jerry) Heilman; Linda (Butch) Spain; Susan (Jim) Morowski; Catherine (Gary) Rochte; Cynthia (Don) Dudley; Mary (David) Danielak; Richard Horner; Patricia (Tim) Ricard; Robert; Ronald and Jennifer Horner and Barbara (Chris) Edwards; sisters; Carol (Ken) Whaley; Shannon (Larry) Ridens and Diane Myler (Mike); 27 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and many dear friends.
The family will receive guests Saturday and Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Mass of Christian Burial will begin Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (formerly Our Lady of Fatima) at Lyons, Ohio. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery.
