Peter Nenkov Ivanov

Peter N. Ivanov, age 83, of Toledo, passed away October 28, 2022 at Heatherdowns Rehabilitation and Residential Care Center. He was born January 28, 1939 in Toros, Bulgaria. After leaving Bulgaria, Peter landed in Toledo where he became a Naturalized citizen in 1972.

Over the years he floated between Ohio, Colorado, California and Nevada, before ultimately returning to Toledo, his American Hometown. Peter was a highly trained Tool and Die maker who proudly worked with NASA in the construction of the country's first space shuttles during his early career. Between his work and avid love for horse racing, he was known for his exceptional cooking; owning a restaurant in Denver during the 1970's that was frequented by patrons looking for a taste of his locally renowned Bulgarian-style Leg of Lamb.

He is survived by his children, Christina (Patrick) Leonard, Lisa Graves and Nikolay (Penny) Nenkov; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Springfield Township Cemetery.
