Peggy A. Weber

Peggy A. "Meme" Weber, age 74, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 8, 2023 at home with loving family by her side. She was born on November 14, 1948 to Alvin and Dorothy Horner in Rockford, Illinois. Peggy grew up in California where she met her soulmate and best friend, Gerald Weber, where they were married on March 4, 1967. Shortly after they moved to Toledo and started their family. Peggy and Jerry loved camping, sitting by the campfire, and going to the races; especially at MIS. She loved taking casino trips with her best friend, Maureen. Peggy's passion was her family, most importantly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Peggy's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Bevelheimer; son-in-law, Mark Jacobs; and daughter-in-law, Charlene Diehl. Left to cherish Peggy's memory are her loving husband of 56 years, Jerry; children, Jerry Weber Jr., Carol (Doug) Kidwell, Cheryl Jacobs, Thomas Weber, Sandy Glosch, and Rachel Jacobs who Peggy called her surrogate daughter; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
