Peggy M. (Schmidt) Drago

Peggy M. (Schmidt) Drago, age 74, of Perrysburg, formerly of Oregon, Ohio, entered into eternal rest in her home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, June 6, 2007. Raised in Oregon, Ohio, Peggy was a 1950 graduate of Clay High School. She was an LPN, employed with South Toledo Pediatrics for 40 years. A life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Peggy served faithfully as a Sunday school teacher, shut-in volunteer and choir member. She was also a member of the pulpit committee, music committee and Women of the Church. Peggy enjoyed volunteering for the Toledo Museum of Art. She will be most remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister and dear friend to all.


In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Joseph S. Drago. She is survived by her loving family including her children, Joseph C. (Debra) Drago; Tina (Dan) Drago Polonia; grandchildren, Marisa and Dominic Drago; Abigail and Samuel Polonia and brother, Clarence Schmidt.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) and Monday from 10-11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 428 N. Erie Street. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Officiating will be Pastors Stephen Bull and Richard Powell, II. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
