Pearl E. "Nana" Howe

Pearl, age 83 of South Toledo, passed away on June 11th, 2024. She was born April 29, 1941 to Orval and Ruth Snyder. Nana was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nana was a pillar of strength and kindness within our family and friends.

Central to her heart were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. She was their steadfast cheerleader, always ready with a hug, a word of wisdom, or a batch of freshly baked cookies.

Her wisdom, patience, and nurturing spirit have left an indelible mark on each of their lives. She cherished the moments spent together, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, storytelling, and the warmth of familial love.

Nana was survived by her sisters, Julie Jurski, Mary Jane Meglitch, Patricia Maciejewski, and Nancy Montford; her son, Charles Howe Jr.; her daughters, Deborah Portillo and Lisa (Roy) Guerrero; Sons -in –law, Richard Worthington and Gary Portillo; her grandchildren, Richard, Raymond (Lauren), Gary (Abbie), Rogelio (Sam), Erica (Josh), Daniel (Katrina), Chastity (Trevor), Timothy (Abby), Alisha (Scott), Nicholas (Victoria), Brittany, Mellisa (Ramzi), Breanna (Alex), CJ (Savannah), Austin, Connor, and Cierra; her great-grandchildren Trent, Kennedy, Lucia, Elliot, Izzy, Amelia, Kinley, Emerson, Enzo, Lily, Tucker, Kenley, Lincoln, Tami, Natalie, Pablo, Tanner, Collins, Samson, Nazar, Carter and one on the way.

Nana was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Howe Sr.; her son, Stacey Howe; and daughter, Tamela Worthington; sisters, Loretta, Marie, and Alice; and brothers John, Orval, and William.

The family will receive guests on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
