Peach McCarthy, age 72, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at The Toledo Hospital where she was surrounded by her family. She was born on October 1, 1941 to James and Dorothy (Rucker) Brown in Charleston, WV. Peach was an avid member of the Toledo Rose Society and American Rose Society. She shared the love of rose gardening with her husband of 43 years, Jerry McCarthy. Peach was always up for going to dinner or a shopping trip. Her family will dearly miss her and her quick wit.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Martha McCarthy; son, Michael (Patrick Bowman) McCarthy; sister, Doris Wamer; brother, Jimmie Brown; many nieces, nephews and too many friends to list. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald F. McCarthy.

There will be no visitation or services for Peach, per her request.
