Paulette Prebeg

Paulette K. Prebeg passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024 at Stillwater Hospice Center in Fort Wayne, after a lengthy illness. Paulette was a registered nurse for over 30 years. She worked at Riverside Hospital in Toledo, then when she and her husband Nick moved to Fort Wayne, she was employed at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

 Paulette married into a ready-made family of 5 children, dogs and cats. She took on a great responsibility that brought many challenges but ultimately brought much happiness and wonderful memories to her and the entire family.

 She was a talented gardener and enjoyed working on her flower beds and being outdoors. She and her husband spent many hours outside gardening throughout the years. She loved the wildlife in her backyard and took care of the many critters that came to her back door. Her true passion was for the animals. She loved her kitties and took great care of them. They provided her with love and companionship and were truly her lifeline. She had a brood of her own at home that will miss her, Chloe, BJ, Harvey, Peanut and Ginger. She had a soft spot for anyone or any animal in need and was always willing to help.

 She is survived by her children, Victor Prebeg of Maumee, Tracey (Joe) King of Maumee, Robin (David) Henderson of Gibsonburg; Grandchildren Christian "CJ "Haas of Maple Hill, NC, Faith Merrit of Toledo, and Amanda Frantz of Toledo. She was preceded in death by her husband Nick Sr.; son Nick; daughter Patience; brother, Bill and her parents.

 Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (Southwest Chapel) 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 2:00-6:00 pm. A Private burial service for family will be held at a later date.

Paulette, will be remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit. Her beloved pets that have gone before will be waiting to greet her at the “Rainbow Bridge” with tails wagging. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Paulette to your local Animal Shelter.
