Paula J. Nobles, a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on March 26, 2025, in her hometown of Toledo, Ohio. Born on April 29, 1948, she was a beacon of kindness and humility throughout her life, traits that endeared her to all who crossed her path.
Paula's professional journey was marked by over thirty years of dedicated service as a Radiologic Technologist in various hospitals. Her commitment to her craft was evident, and she was deeply loved by patients and colleagues alike. A proud graduate of Howard University, Paula earned her degree in Radiology, a culmination of her hard work and determination.
Throughout her life, Paula maintained a warm and welcoming spirit. She was known for never meeting a stranger, extending her kindness to everyone she encountered. A passionate animal lover, she found joy in watching shows such as Dr. Pol and had a particular fondness for jewelry that reflected her unique personality. Although she often dreamed of traveling more extensively, circumstances kept those aspirations at bay, yet her zest for life remained undimmed.
Paula took immense pride in her family. She is survived by her beloved son, Karlton Harper, and his wife, Charvelle. Her legacy continues through her granddaughters, Karlonda, Kristianna, and Kennedy Harper. Furthermore, she was the cherished great-grandmother to Promise Pearce, Jaycion Randolph, Kairee Harper, Justice Randolph, and Journey Randolph. Her bond with her siblings, Barbara Collins and husband Howard, and Sonya Harper, along with her niece April Winston, nephews Adam Winston, Raymond Gibson, Ryan Gibson, and nieces Sirron Taylor and Brittany Gibson, paints a picture of a tightly knit family.
Paula is predeceased by her husband, H.L. Nobles, and her son, Johnathan Nobles. She also mourned the loss of her father, Otis Harper, mother, Josephine Harper, sister, Iris Wilks, and nephew, Jamir Collins.
The warmth of Paula’s presence will be deeply missed by her family and a host of loving extended family and dear friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will surely live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
