Paul J. Nagy, Jr.

Paul J. Nagy, Jr., age 74, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 2, 2022 at home. He was born on October 28, 1947 to Paul Sr. and Marjorie Nagy in Toledo. Paul graduated from Macomber Vocational High School where he learned welding and continued the trade and followed his father's footsteps, along with his brothers, Jim and Tom. Paul entered into the skilled trades of Local 55 Union Iron Workers for over 30 years. He was a movie buff, loved music of all genres and enjoyed playing the lotto. Paul liked getting together with family and friends. His quick wit, storytelling and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jim Nagy, Sue Nagy and Theresa Bain. Left to cherish his memory are his loving sister, Mary (Tim) Gerken; brother, Thomas Nagy; brother-in-law, Pat Bain; nieces and nephews, Christopher Hicks, Corey (Kyle) Hicks, Alan Bain, Andrea (Steve) Bain-Frye, Andrew Nagy, and Chelsea (Tyler) McTigue; many great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider a charity of the donor's choice.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Paul's nephews, Christopher and Corey for all of their extra love, care and support given to their uncle, it was truly appreciated by the entire family.
