In Loving Memory of Paul Michael II
Paul Michael II, 68, passed away on June 18th. Born in Italy, Paul spent his formative years traveling across Europe, soaking in its diverse cultures and histories. He later settled in Toledo, Ohio, where he built a cherished home and family. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul A. Michael Sr., and his mother, Freda (Staggs) Michael.
Paul was a devoted husband to his wife, Denise, of 38 years. His unwavering support and dedication to Denise and their son, Devin, were the cornerstones of his life.
Paul was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, and developed a lifelong passion for aviation, a pursuit he later turned into a rewarding career at Flight Safety International. He shared his enthusiasm for flying through the wonders of flight simulators, inspiring many to share in his passion.
Beyond aviation, Paul had a fervent passion for his litany of hot rods. He was a familiar face in the classic car community, known for his meticulous and stunning paint jobs crafted from his home garage. Paul's artistic talents also extended to fine arts, with his exceptional oil paintings and charcoal sketches displayed and admired by those who knew him.
His courage and resilience were evident in his battle with cancer, a fight he faced with determination and strength. Despite this hardship, Paul remained a dedicated and loving family man, always prioritizing the well-being of his wife and son above his own.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Denise, and son, Devin (Corinne). He also leaves behind his sister, Paulette (Keith) Dunlap; father-in-law, Frank Bernath Jr.; sister-in-law, Kathy (Eric) Weber; brothers-in-law, Ron (Judy) King, Frank (Jackie) Bernath, and Bryan (Jennifer) Bernath, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Paul's legacy of kindness, bravery, and love will forever resonate in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, details will follow. Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
