Paul Cruse McKinney
Paul Cruse McKinney, age 84 of Toledo passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at Lake Park. He was born May 9th, 1920 to Harry and Frances (Cruse) McKinney in Toledo. Paul was the former owner of Shelton Heating & Air for several years. He also worked as an estimator with his son at McKinney Heating and went on to retire from Pugh Heating as an estimator in 1998. Paul was an instructor for the Toledo Board of Education teaching Automatic Heat and Control from 1955-65. Paul was a U.S. Navy Veteran and very proud of his service being a veteran of Pearl Habor. He was a lifetime member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, the VFW #606 and the AM. Legion Argonne Post. He was a former member of the F.O.E. #197. Paul enjoyed reading and watching old movies. Before his wife Doris passed away in 1997 he cherished their time together. He always called her the love of his life. When Doris passed away she took with him a piece of his heart. Now they are together once again.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris V. (Braatz) McKinney; son, James McKinney; sister, Mary Jane Cornwell and dear friend, Jerry Desparios. He is survived by his children, Helena "Tootie" (Joe Nadrasik, Jr.) McKinney; Pam (Jim) Michalski and Chris (Deb) McKinney; grandchildren, Doug and Tim Krueger; Heidi (Charles) Middlebrooks; Scott (Heather) McKinney; Mary Ellen (Todd) Copic; Shaun McKinney; Chad Clark; Terra (Steve) Richards; Lisa McKinney and James and John McKinney; great grandchildren, Marissa; Miranda; T.J.; Macie; Dylan; Peyton; Taylor and Blake. Paul is also survived by many dear friends and extended family members.
The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry S. Craig. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or to Compass.
