Paul Kaufman

Paul J. Kaufman, age 78, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2006 at St. Anne Mercy Hospital. He was born November 27, 1928 in Toledo. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea. Paul was also a recipient of the Purple Heart during his time in the military. He was employed with Textile Leathers for more than 40 years. Paul enjoyed spending time at Lake Seneca where he built a vacation home for his family. He was also an avid Cleveland Indian Baseball and Ohio State football fan. Most importantly, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brothers; Joseph, Harold, Frances and Lawrence Kaufman and his sister, Rita Kelley. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 55 years; Laverne (Conrad) Kaufman; sons; Thomas (Nancy), Ronald and Richard (Mary) Kaufman, grandchildren; Ron, Jr., Lindsay and Kristy and great granddaughter; Ava Jane Kaufman.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by services at 10:00 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 2820 W. Alexis Rd. Officiating will be Pastor Richard Sauerlender. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
