Paul Joseph Drayton

Paul J. Drayton, age 69, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born to Charles and Margaret (Smith) Drayton on November 12, 1943. Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Dana Corp. as a machinist after 40 years of service. Paul was a longtime member of Toledo Ski Club and many other social organizations such as Toledo Roadrunners, Bedford High School Alumni Association. Throughout his life he enjoyed traveling, golfing, going on cruises and visiting the beach, especially his favorite vacation spot, Hilton Head, S.C. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Christine Hottmann and Todd (Arlene Hopkins) Drayton; grandchildren, Daniel Ginn, Derek Ginn, Dylan Hottmann and Kylee Drayton; six siblings, Mary, John, Elizabeth, Catherine, Sharon and Mike and a host of dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles, Patricia, Ann and Harold.

The family will receive guests on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
