Paul Gay

Paul C. Gay, age 88, received the best Christmas gift of his life when he went to meet his Lord on Sunday, December 25, 2005. He was born on October 19, 1917 to Walter and Etta (Reiter) Gay in Canton, Ohio. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He graduated from Kentucky Christian College in 1951. Paul ministered to churches in Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. He was also active in Boy Scouting for over 50 years.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Dorothy; daughters: Chrislyn (Michael) Shelhart, Paula (William) Ater and Sheryl (Edwin) Overstreet; Grandsons: Eric (Rachelle) and Aaron (Rebecca) Shelhart; and 3 great-grandsons: Rase, Elijah Paul and Ethan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Donald Gay.
The family will receive guests on Friday, December 30, 2005 at the Boulevard Church of Christ, 7041 W. Sylvania Ave., Sylvania, Ohio from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the church. The Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.
