Paul Andrew Malotke, "Paulie," age 31, passed away on September 6th, 2014, at his home in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on September 14th, 1982, in Sylvania, Ohio.
Paulie lived to make the world smile and laugh. Whenever a friend was in need and he was in a place to help even if it was only a kind word, Paulie was there. He regretted the loss of any close friend and was always eager to bring more into his life. For years, Paulie dreamed of being a radio personality, and through work at the University of Toledo's WXUT and WRSC radio, he was able to achieve some of his goals. His work on the wrestling program, Capture Suplex Radio (CSR), at both stations was his greatest professional achievement. He formed lasting friendships with many of his high school friends, coworkers and bosses. Paulie was never far from a good idea and never far from an off the cuff joke that sent everyone into fits of laughter.
Left to remember the laughter are his loving wife of nearly 3 years, Lindy Causey-Malotke of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Toledo, Ohio; his parents, Barbara and Ronald Malotke of Sylvania, Ohio; his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Monica Causey, his sister and brother in law, Deidre O'Brien and Jonathan Causey, and his nephews and nieces from Clarksville, Tennessee.
Over his 31 years, Paulie had made himself a family outside of his parents and in-laws. He called them his brothers and sisters. Left to remember those tight bonds are James Harris, Chris Daher, Zac Gilley, Bridget Franklin, Chris and Lauren Vangelder, all of Toledo, Ohio; Josh Henninger of Greenville, Ohio; and Alexander and Samantha Gale of Boone, North Carolina.
Paulie was a generous spirit, and his family would prefer that in lieu of flower arrangements, donations to your favorite charities be made in his name.
A Celebration of Paulie's Life will be held at Calvary Bible Chapel at 3740 West Alexis Road in Toledo, Ohio, at 3 PM on Saturday September 13th, 2014. Please join his family and friends to honor this great friend, son and husband.
