Patrick "Pat" John Mullen peacefully passed on Thursday, May 17th, 2007 in Lake Park Hospice at the age of 53, after a long and courageous battle with his illness. A lifelong resident of Sylvania Township, Pat was a graduate of Northview High School and a United States Army Veteran. Preceding him in death was his father, John Mullen and his dog, "Bear".
Pat took pride in his work as a skilled painter and wallpaperer. Many would consider him an artist in his field and he was dedicated to his craft for over thirty years. An avid sports fan, Pat particularly enjoyed Notre Dame Football and Detroit's Lions, Pistons, and Tigers. Pat grew up with classic rock and never stopped listening to Jimi Hendrix. Often found in the garden, behind the grill, or on the golf course, Pat always relished in the opportunity to be outdoors. However, his passion for family transcended his labors of love, hobbies and interests.
As a proud father, he cherished the time spent with his three children. The joys of his life, they will never forget those moments being with Dad. Pat was a selfless man with a good heart. As a father, son, older brother, uncle and friend, he will be deeply missed by his family and those he loved.
Surviving are his daughter, Andrea; sons, Anthony and Michael; mother; Geraldine; sisters, Barbara (Lloyd) Stager, Maureen (Dan) Keller, Diann (Don) Hack, and Kim Mullen.
