Patrick M. "Pat" Berlin, age 65, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born on October 31, 1948 to Charles and Kathleen (Vineyard) Berlin in Toledo. Pat was a longtime member of Augsberg Lutheran Church where he use to teach Bible Study and lead the Boy Scouts. He also use to coach baseball for 14 years for the Whittier Mud Hens. Pat was an avid football fan, especially of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father. Pat is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Barb Berlin; sons, Patrick II (Crystal), Jason and Mark (Lisa) Berlin; grandchildren, Jacob, Maddie, Shy and Hunter; mom, Kathleen Berlin; and brothers, Charles "Skip", Robert and Jeff (Katie) Berlin.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Pat's brother-in-law, Howard Littin, for all of his love, care, help and support given to Pat and his family through this difficult time.
