Patrick "Patty" J. Gaynor, age 90, a longtime resident of Toledo, passed away Sunday, July 9th, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born October 23rd, 1926 in Ballyheigue County in Kerry, Ireland to Thomas and Cathleen (O'Connell) Gaynor.
Patrick was employed with the Libby Glass Company for more than 20 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Patrick met and married the love of his life, Jeannette L. (Hundsrucker) on October 15th, 1960 in Toledo. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends sharing good food and good conversation. Patrick was also known for his abilities to fix pretty much anything that needed fixing around the house. But what was most important to him was being a good husband, father, grandfather and friend. So time with those he cared about was always his focus.
In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his son: Timothy Gaynor and daughter: Cherylann Turner and siblings: including his twin brother, Dennis, Michael, Timothy, Maureen and Josie.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jeannette Gaynor; daughter: Lori J. (Rick) Ortloff; son: Denny T. Gaynor; stepsons: Michael and Mark Popovich, grandchildren: Christina, Chad, Clarissa, Amanda, Lindsay, Adrena, Alexandria, Sarah, Jayla, Jalen; great-grandchildren: Naomi, Sophia, Zerena, Michael, Arabella, Gracie and Julian and sister, Bridie Kearney of Ireland.
