Patrick Raymond Dixon

June 2, 1951 — April 17, 2025

Sylvania

Patrick Raymond Dixon, 73, passed away peacefully and in the company of his loving family on April 17, 2025, in Sylvania, Ohio. He was born on June 2, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio. Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, JoAnne (Haddix) Dixon, and his children Steven (Amanda) Dixon (Sylvia, Charlotte) and Julie (Charlie) Young (Cameron, Drew). And he is survived by his siblings Michael (Mary) Dixon, Thomas (Eileen) Dixon, Sharon (Shawn) Sobel; his brothers-in-law David (Carol) Haddix, Neil (Linda) Haddix, and Robert Reinbolt; and his sister-in-law Mary Pat Dixon. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilkins and Germaine Dixon and his older siblings Donald and Mary Claire (Reinbolt).

Patrick graduated from Central Catholic in 1969 and attended the University of Toledo. He worked as a mechanic for the City of Toledo for thirty years. Patrick was a skilled and meticulous handyman who could fix nearly anything and was always quick to lend a hand to friends and strangers. He enjoyed volleyball, weightlifting, and rollerblading. And he was a devoted fan for the athletes in his family, traveling far and wide to see his children and grandchildren swim or play basketball, baseball, softball, football, or volleyball. Patrick was outgoing, friendly, and gregarious. He will be missed.

The family expresses their gratitude to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Services for Patrick will be private.
