Patrick A. Cuda

Patrick A. Cuda, age 79, of Toledo, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice with his family by his side. He was born on August 27, 1938 to Patrick and Bernice (Butts) Cuda in Toledo. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1955 - 1963 and always remained patriotic and proud of his country. After leaving the Army, he started working at Tiedtke's Department Store, it is there that he met the love of his life, Carol (Janicki) Cuda. They were married for 52 years until her passing in February 2018. Patrick later worked for Gerity-Schultz as a foreman for over 30 years. In his retirement he enjoyed the simple life, spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren, reading, sitting on his front porch and playing a good video game.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Pamela (Jeff) Moore, Karen Cuda-Troutman and Patti (Brian) Brown; grandchildren, Thomas Wonacott, Sarah Moore, Kady Wonacott, Benjamin Troutman, Abbigail Moore, Maxx Troutman, Daisy and Clover Brown and great-grandchildren, Isaac and Madison Wonacott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol; parents, Patrick and Bernice Cuda and grandparents, Frank and Kathryn Cuda.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). His Funeral Service will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
