Patricia A. Sherwin
October 12, 1946 — August 30, 2022
Patricia A. "Patty" Sherwin, age 75, of Maumee, passed away August 30, 2022 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Patricia was born October 12, 1946 in Toledo to Robert and Janet (Suhrweier) Bortles.
Left to forever cherish her memory are her children, Robert J. (Kristen) Mitchell, Jr., Jeff Mitchell, Sue Sherwin, Jon (Stephanie) Sherwin, and Jen Sherwin; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, John Bortles; former husband and good friend, Mark Sherwin; and numerous other treasured family and friends.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bob Bortles.
Patty's kids and grandkids, as well as all of the honorary "extras" who called her Mom or Grandma, were her world. She loved spending time with friends, whether at all the special events and trips over the years, or just chatting over coffee or a meal. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, camping, music, and attending musicals/theater performances.
The family will receive guests Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 2:00pm-6:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900), where Funeral Services will begin at 6:00pm. The family welcomes all for food and fellowship at the Maumee Eagles Hall after the services.
Burial at Ottawa HIlls Memorial Park will be on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 10:00am. (Procession to leave Newcomer SW at 9:45am.)
