Patricia R. Wechtel

Patricia R. Wechtel, age 87, of Toledo, passed away December 18, 2015 at Swan Creek Care Center. She was born March 11, 1928 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Oscar and Dorothy (Swinehart) Hunter. Patricia was a three-term Maumee City Councilwoman and first woman to be elected to City Council. She was past-president and member of the Ladies Auxiliary at St. Luke's Hospital.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Edward Wechtel; son, Edward H. Wechtel; granddaughter, Laura (Timothy) E. Hylton; great-grandsons, Tanner and Hunter Hylton; brother, John Hunter and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her siblings, Maryann Seaborg and Lorin Hunter.

A Gathering of Friends will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Swan Creek Retirement Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Swan Creek Lifecare Fund in Patricia's memory.
