Patricia "Pat" Ann Willoughby, was born on January 14, 1954, in Detroit Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 2 2024, Toledo, Ohio. Pat's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with compassion, love, and an unwavering commitment to her family and the many people she cared for throughout her career.
Pat found great fulfillment as a home health aide, dedicating her time to helping individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's. Her unwavering patience, kindness, and dedication left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to receive her care. She had the biggest heart, always placing the needs of others before her own.
Family was at the core of Pat's existence. She cherished her husband, Anthony "Tony" Willoughby Sr., and took immense pride in her children: Daniel Gutierrez and his wife Susie, Phillip Gutierrez, and step-son Anthony "Tony" Willoughby Jr. Pat was especially devoted to her grandchildren, Daniel J. Gutierrez and Gabriella Gutierrez, often enthusiastically sharing stories about them that would light up her face.
In addition to her immediate family, Pat leaves behind her brother, Kevin Gutierrez, and his wife Laura, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and beloved friends who will miss her dearly. She loved her sweets and enjoyed her daughter-in-law's cooking, often relishing moments spent with family around the dinner table.
Pat engaged in various hobbies that brought her joy, including word searches, Facebook, Candy Crush, and watching her favorite television shows, and going to the flea market with Tony. Her spirited personality and genuine warmth touched many lives, making her a beloved figure among her family and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her father, Epifanio Gutierrez; mother, Stella Giminez; and sisters, Krisandra Gutierrez and Cynthia Hnilo. Each of these losses was felt deeply by Pat, but her resilience and love for her family remained steadfast.
As we remember Patricia "Pat" Ann Willoughby, we celebrate a life well-lived, one marked by kindness, dedication, and a profound love for her family. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were honored to know her, reminding us all of the value of love and compassion in our lives.
Family will receive friends on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mass honoring Pat will begin at 11:00 a.m. All will be held at Historic St. Patrick Catholic Church; 130 Avondale Ave. Toledo, OH 43604. Following the services, the family will be at the Toledo Firefighters Local 92 for a luncheon were their friends and extended family are welcome to join them.
