Patricia J. Lee, age 71, of Toledo, passed away on August 20, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She fought a long hard battle. Jesus came down and took her in his arms and headed up to heaven. She was born October 9, 1942 in Toledo to John and Sophie (Sadowski) Podgorski. She graduated from Libbey High School and after that she waitressed for over 33 years at various places including; the Fiberglass Tower, Ricardo's, Gloria's, Alfies Alley, and Abde Steakhouse. Pat was the life of the party and always loved to have a good time. She was a volunteer for the Special Olympics, Cancer Society, and the Relay for Life. Pat also was a tutor for Kids Unlimited and a devoted member of the Sacred Heart Parish. In her free time, she enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, boating, and gambling. She will forever be remembered as the "Duck Tape Queen".
"Mom, we will never forget you, when you reach Heaven, Please tell Dad and Timmy that we all miss them too! Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one, the Family Chain will link again."
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Donald (Mary) Lee, Michael Lee, grandson Michael Austin Lee, sisters Joanne Bowman, Shirley Carr, and Carol Davenport. Pat is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Donald, son Timothy Lee, sister Diane Longoria, brother Johnny Podgorski, and brother in laws Donald Bowman Sr. and Albert Longoria Sr.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Donna Leiner (Niece), Kathy Varga (Best friend), and the nurses at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Perrysburg for all their help and support during this difficult time.
The family will receive guests Monday, August 25 at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo, 43623) from 3-8 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, at the Sacred Heart Parish where she will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
