Patricia A. Ottney Vaughn

Patricia A. Ottney Vaughn, age 88, of Toledo and formerly of Gaylord, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Ebeid Hospice with her family by her side. She was born on March 22, 1931 in Jackson, Michigan to John and Ruth (McNanny) Ottney who affectionately called her "Monkeyshines." Patricia raised her family in Toledo and in retirement moved to Gaylord, Michigan - a city she loved! Patricia was a loving mother of six children and she devoted much of her life taking care of her children. Her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as Grandma Yoohoo. Many fabulous summers were spent at Bowman Pool with her children. She worked at Champion Spark Plug and in her earlier years volunteered at the Board of Elections. She loved the outdoors and everything nature had to offer, especially her birds and chipmunks on Otsego Lake, Michigan.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Richard (Kimberly) Vaughn, Sandra Creagan, Cheryl (Steven) Carrothers, Carol (Robert) Shull, Brian (Mary Anne) Vaughn, Sr. and Robert (Alyce) Vaughn; grandchildren, Lauren, Kyle, Kimberly, Ryan, Erin, Sean, Kayla, Michael, Amy, Sarah, Meagan and Jack; great-grandchildren, Graysen, Noah, Evelyn, Skylar, Jaylin, Khloe, Ava, Ellie, Brody, Hannah, Donny, Layla, Trey, Isaac; siblings, Tom (Geraldine) Ottney and Carol Sereiko, Rita (Dr. Roy) Boyer and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Nicholas and Brian, Jr. and brother, Bob Ottney.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer - West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Rd., Toledo, OH 43617 (419-392-9500) with her Funeral Service starting at 3:00 p.m.

Patricia's family would like to specially thank her nurse, Tom; nurses aides, Dinah, Linda and the staff at Ebeid Hospice for their diligent care and love that was provided to our mom.
