Patricia Ellen Meinert

Patricia Ellen Meinert, of Sylvania Township, passed away on June 4, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio; Ebeid Center.

Pat was born December 5, 1943 to Estelle T. (Noll) and Henry H. Meinert. She was raised by her mother and beloved stepfather, Charles W. Burkhart and was a graduate of Sylvania High School class of 1961.

Pat began working in her parent’s restaurant,Garden Inn followed by 50 years in the retail industry to include 25 years at Bargain City and 25 years at Big Lots; retiring in 2009. She was well loved and kept up with many of her employees. Pat enjoyed her retirement years with her wife Veronica (Roni) Flaggs watching and feeding birds, deer's, ducks, squirrels, and all the other animals who frequented their backyard. She enjoyed cocktails at happy hour and spending time with her many generations of nieces and nephews.

Pat was proceeded in death by her parents; sister Barbara Bollett, her brother Ralph “Sonny” Berry and her nephews Michael Hill and Todd Bollett.
She is survived by her wife Roni, nieces Vicki (Dick) Long, Estelle (Dewey) Graves, Ruth “FiFi” Dorner, and Sandy Hill; nephews Charlie (Bonnie), John and Clarence Berry. Pat is also survived by several generations of nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her Mother-in-law Diane Flaggs and sister-in-laws Moreatha Flaggs and Tanya Walker.

Those wishing to give memorials are asked to consider the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association in the name of her special niece, Jen Graves or to the Down Syndrome Association of Central, OH in the name of another special niece, Rosie Ledyard.

Graveside services will be held at Noon on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
