Patricia M.(Mccarthy) Ciepichal

Patricia M. McCarthy Ciepichal, age 80, passed away on November 28, 2009 after a long illness. A Toledo native, Patricia was the youngest of five daughters born of the union of Maurice and Francis Boyle McCarthy, all of whom preceded her in death. She was a 1947 graduate of Notre Dame Academy, where she was an active alumna for many years. Patricia married Daniel T. Ciepichal on July 23, 1949, who also preceded her in death. A life-long homemaker, Patricia volunteered her time and talents to St. Vincent de Paul Church and school for several years, where she also sang in the choir. She was employed, at various times, for Walter's Beauty Salon, Votre Beaute' and Lark Construction. In retirement, Pat, a 15-year breast cancer survivor, and her husband traveled extensively throughout the Midwest and South, spending several winters in Punta Gorda, Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and summers at their cottage on Evans Lake in the Irish Hills of Michigan.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Donald, Michael (Pam) and Thomas (Kathleen). She also leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Brian and Allison.

There will be no funeral, as Pat donated her body to The University of Toledo Medical Center.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 5th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, located on Monroe St. and Harvest Lane. The family will greet visitors in the church's Narthex beginning at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests tributes in Pat's name be made to Notre Dame Academy.
