Patricia A. Franklin

Patricia A. "Pat" Franklin, age 87, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Genacross Lutheran Village with loving family by her side. She was born on September 12, 1934 to Edgar and Bea Smith in Toledo. Pat was a homemaker and loved staying home to take care of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved nothing more than caring for her grandbabies and spending time with them. Pat was an excellent cook and baker; and will be missed especially for her fudge and oatmeal cake. She had a keen sense of humor, loved dogs and enjoyed traveling. Pat's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Ben Franklin; granddaughter-in-law, Jackie Rockwell; and 9 siblings. Left to cherish Pat's memory are her loving children, Randy (Kim) Franklin, Sandy Franklin, Tammy Druckenmiller and Steve (Jeannie Meadows) Franklin; grandchildren, Wayne Rockwell, Nathan Franklin, Alex Rockwell, Benjamin (Christine) Hassen, Samantha (Michael) Ahner, Christopher (Bethany) Franklin, Jessica (Cody) Moreau, Kati Druckenmiller, and Emmalene Franklin; great-grandchildren, Brennan, Maxine, Liam and Evelyn; siblings, Peggy Hunt, Carolyn Buck and Denny (Candy) Smith; best friend, Barb Fisher; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
