Patricia Sue Filiere, age 78, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on February 16, 2023, surrounded by love. Patricia was born on February 1, 1945, in Laporte, Indiana, to the late Robert and Vola (LaFever) Euler.
In the early 1960's, Patricia graduated from Woodward High School. She continued her education at the University of Toledo, where she received her Associates Degree as a medical transcriptionist. Patricia worked at Mercy Hospital until their closing and then she continued to work as a medical transcriptionist at St. Vincent's until her retirement. During her retirement, she worked at Walmart, where she enjoyed greeting and meeting new people. When Patricia wasn't working, she loved spending time with her family, shopping, and traveling. Her love and smile will forever be missed. This isn't goodbye, it's see you later…
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her three loving children, Greg (Lori Lane) Gottschalk, Denise (Loren) Shaffer, and Dave (Dawn) Gottschalk; grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Justin, Chase, Loren III, Cody, Maverick, Dallas, Gabrielle, Alaha, Ryan and Jordan; many great grandchildren; and her furry companion who never left her side, Barley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her boyfriend of many years, Jerry Wells; a sister, Sandra Lanning; and a brother, Donald Euler.
Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to the Toledo Humane Society, 827 Illinois Avenue, Maumee, Ohio 43537.
