Patricia A. Patton

Patricia A. "Patti" Kurtz Patton, age 62, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 9, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perryburg, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on May 25, 1951 to Olivet M. and Patricia R. (Oberle) Kurtz in Toledo. Patti was an avid dog lover and very involved in competitive dog agility. She was a very compassionate, courageous woman who had a heart of gold; always thinking of others before herself. Patti loved nothing more than the time spent with her family, especially her granddaughter, who was the light of her life. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John T. Kurtz Patton in March 2012. Patti is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Timothy Patton; beloved daughter, Chelsee (Kevin Zink) Kurtz Patton; granddaughter, Taylor Patton and her mom, Heather; sister, Jennifer Klempner; and many other family members, co-workers and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43613.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Patricia A. Patton Memorial Fund, to benefit her granddaughter's education fund. Donations may be made through Fifth Third Bank or be left at the funeral home during visitation.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and to all of her family and friends for all of the love, care and support given to Patti and her family through this difficult time.
