Pamela A. (Woods) Desot

December 20, 1948 — March 11, 2022

It is with tremendous love and sadness that we announce our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Pamela (Woods) Desot, has reached her eternal home in the early morning of March 11, 2022. She passed away peacefully with her loving family surrounding her at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Pam was born December 20, 1948 to Edmond and Beatrice Woods. She was the youngest of 5 children who she shared many laughs and memories with. Some of her favorite memories were made going on trips with her sisters, Carol and Pat across the U.S,. as well as traveling with her children and grandchildren to various destinations. Pam was a proud graduate of St. Ursula Academy, Class of 1966. She had a dedicated career of 28 years working for Chrysler at the Warren Stamping Plant, where she would later retire from in 2011. Pam loved working for Chrysler.

To Pam, family was everything. She raised 4 wonderful children, Sean, Dawn, Diana, and Debbie, who loved and adored her dearly. Her children were so important to her and she did everything she could to provide as much as possible for them, they would do everything together. As her cancer illness progressed, the four of them took turns caring and providing for her in anyway she needed. They went above and beyond in caring for her until her very last day. The four of them can find comfort in knowing she passed peacefully because of the exceptional care they provided for her. Pam was a strong woman who raised phenomenal children and although they are all unique in their own ways, she always said how proud she was of each of them.

Pam's four children brought her nine grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren immensely. Pam would be a nonjudgmental, listening ear to any of them and help in any way possible. Your secret was always safe with Gram. If you needed someone, that's the person you would go to. You always knew she was your biggest fan. She loved to cheer on her grandchildren throughout life and in any sporting event she attended. Whether it be football, basketball, golf, horseback riding, volleyball, dance, or anything else. She was there and you would always know it because no matter how embarrassed you might have been, you would hear Gram's voice yelling your name in support. She was such a proud grandmother.

When Pam wasn't working, she loved to spend time on the lake fishing, feeding the ducks, or playing bingo. She would go to bingo every day of the week if you let her. She also enjoyed spending the holidays together with her family and baking her delicious apple pie. There were two things she loved the most, her sweets and "an ice cold Pepsi". Pam would always stir up her glass before and follow her sip of Pepsi with an "ahh". She was also known for making her angel food cake on Christmas and having the family sing happy birthday to Jesus all together, followed by the Polish Sto Lat. Pam treasured the time she spent with her family more than anything else.

She was a big animal lover as well. Pam adored her dogs, Lady and Charity, as well as her cat, Precious. She was a night owl from working night-shift all of those years and enjoyed taking them on nightly walks. If they weren't going on walks, they were at her side while she planted her rose bushes and tended to her flowers and bird feeders. Pam loved her roses and watching the birds in her backyard.

It brings us comfort to know Pam is reunited in Heaven with her husband Rob whom she loved and missed for almost 23 years after his unexpected passing. We also know she was greeted with open arms by her parents and two older brothers, Ronald and Richard. Pam is survived by her four children, Sean (Sherri) Mowery, Dawn (Michael) Cattell, Diana Breneman, and Debbie (David) Mowery-Ferreira and her close friend Debra Averill, who she thought of as a daughter. Her grandchildren, Alex (Esmeralda) Bedegarea, Brian Bedegarea, Ashley Bretzloff, Corey (Alicia) Bedegarea, Samantha (Jordan) Salhoff, Tonya (Erick) Logan, Darren Bedegarea, Sean Mowery, Alicia Miller and Sophie and Avery. Her great grandchildren, Brooklynn Bretzloff, Liam Logan, Brody Bretzloff, Victoria, Penelope, Isabella, Audrey and Rowley Bedegarea, Jase Salhoff, and Kade Logan. Siblings, Carol Inman and Pat Greenich; and many nieces and nephews who adored her dearly and close friend Sharon Kampfer. Pam's energetic spirit and spunk will live in our hearts forever.

The celebration of Pam's life will be honored with a visitation on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 2-8 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio (419-381-1900). The funeral service will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:00 at St. Rose Catholic Church 215 E. Front St, Perrysburg, Ohio, with viewing one hour prior.

Although Pam loved her roses, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Our family cannot put into words the gratitude we have for the care they provided to her both in and out-patient as she bravely battled cancer. We thank you all for your compassion to not only her, but the family as well. We would also like to thank our dear friend and nurse practitioner, Mindy Campbell. The outstanding care Mindy provided to Pam and our family went above and beyond. Whether it be a voice of reason, a listening ear, someone to make her smile with her different flower she wore in her hair everyday or a shoulder to cry on, Mindy was there through it all. We truly appreciate everything and cannot thank you enough.

Gram Said: I've never been good at expressing how I feel but I will say that I look at my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren like they are each their own beautiful rose with their own shapes and colors. When you put them all together they make the most amazing bouquet
she said, because of their different personalities, strengths, temperaments and attitudes.
