Owen F. Cunningham, age 69, of Maumee, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2007 in the Toledo Hospital. He was born May 19, 1937 to Gerald and Maxine (Cain) Cunningham in Essex Ontario, Canada. Owen entered into the printing industry and became owner of the Leeper Printing Company in 1971 continuing to run the company until his retirement in 2006. He was a former member of the Toledo Club of Printing House Craftsmans. Owen was well respected in the printing industry and was known for his dedication to his craft and clients. He loved the out-of-doors and spent as much time as he could tending to his gardens and fishing. Owen also cherished the time he spent with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Mistor and son-in-law, Larry Vrooman. Owen is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Dorothy M. (Pfoutz) Cunningham; daughter, Susan Vrooman of Ida, MI (fiance, Norm Dotson); son, Jeffrey (Beverly) Cunningham of Petersburg, MI; granddaughters, Tara and Heather Vrooman and Hannah Cunningham; grandsons, Billy and Joey Risch; brother Jon (Barbara) Cunningham of Maumee, OH; close friends, Dick and June Walters and Mark and Susan Zafuto many dear friends and business associates in the printing industry.
The family will receive guests Thursday from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Private. Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park.
