Otto Adams, Jr.

Otto "Joe" Adams, Jr., 1927-2008, age 81, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy. Joe was an owner with his father of Adams Builders, where they built many homes in the Toledo area. He was also Plant Manager at Schemenauer Manufacturing, Holland, Ohio, but retired in 1987 as Plant Manager from Meilink Steel Safe, Toledo, Ohio. During all these years Joe did carpenter work helping people whenever he could for free, even supplying the materials for the jobs. He loved carpenter work and he loved his grandchildren, great grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Otto Phillip and Norma Grace (Rubadeux) Adams, Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Lawrence and sisters, Bernice Taube and Jackie Davenport. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 38 years, Janet (Valerius) Adams; daughters, Sandy (Wayne) Gore of Huber Heights, OH; Rebecca (Terry) Seeman of Maumee and Tina (Gary) Kelm of Novi, MI; stepdaughter, Jeanne Borer of Toledo; sons, David (Wanda) This of Sugar Grove, NC and William (Debbie) Adams of Brighton, MI; stepson, Eric Borer of Toledo; sister, Norma Jane Walters of Swanton and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

To honor Joe's wishes there will be no visitation or services.
