Otis D. Frye, Sr.

On March 10, 2015, Otis D. Frye, Sr., age 84, went to heaven, to be with his beloved wife, Pam; 4 sisters; 2 brothers and grandson, Ryan Keith Frye, who have passed on before, surrounded by his family.

Otis is survived by his children, Rose (Wayne) Owens, Otis D. (Tammy) Frye Jr., Dorothy Jean (Ric) Stevens, Robert K. (Betty Christianson) Frye, William K. (Patty) Frye Sr.; brother-in-law, George W. (Juanita) Mullins II; brother, Junior (Donna) Frye; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Otis was born in Logan, West Virginia on July 16, 1930 to the late Mary and Willard Frye. He married Palmis "Pam" Mullins on October 31, 1950 and the two of them shared almost 64 years together. Otis moved with his family to Toledo in 1959 after 13 years as a Coal Miner. Otis retired from The American Ship Building Company after over 30 years as a Boiler Maker.

Otis loved fishing, playing cards, bowling on the Wii, sitting on his porch swing listening to country music. Many picnics and family get-togethers, especially with his beloved grandchildren, brightened his life. He also loved his trips to Goody's.

The family will receive guests from 3-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Burial will take place at Wakeman Cemetery.
