Ora Lee Boykin

Ora Lee Boykin, age 88, of Swanton, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at home peacefully with family by her side. Ora Lee was born October 20, 1933 in Georgiana, AL, to Leamon and Adella (Carter) Gilmore. Ora Lee was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel Boykin; 5 brothers; 4 sisters; and her son, Edward Boykin.

Ora Lee loved her kids and raising her grandkids, reading the bible, and cooking. She loved working in the garden.

Ora Lee is survived by her daughters Marie, Jenise, Janice (Jerome); sons, James (Karen), Jimmy (Janie), Christopher (Sarah), and Robert; grandchildren, Lorenzo, Terry, Jimmey (Cathy), Shawn, Shante (Mike), Tevin, Jay, Christpher, Sabrina, Chantel, Jimmy Jr., and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Kalani, Bryson, David, Rihanna, Devon, Kaleya, Grace, Shawn Jr., Siera, Hendrix, Aiden, Aniya, Mariana; and sister, Sadie Gilmore.

The family will receive guests Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road (419-392-9500) were Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo.

Ora Lee's family would like to thank the staff at Ohio Living Home Health and Hospice for all the great care they provided her in her last days. May God bless you all for your prayers.
