O'neal Hudson

July 30, 1957 — October 28, 2024

O'neal Hudson, affectionately known as Neal, was born on July 30, 1957, in Rosedale, Mississippi. He departed this world on October 28, 2024, in Perrysburg, Ohio, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and cherished memories. Neal dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career as a crane operator at Omni Source, where he worked until his retirement.

He was a spirited individual who brought joy to those around him with his loud personality and great sense of humor. Neal was not only a jokester at heart but also a devoted family man who cherished the time spent with his loved ones, including his children and grandchildren. His proudest accomplishments were his role as a beloved uncle and his deep love for his kids and grandkids, who were the center of his world.

Neal had a wide range of interests that brought him immense joy. He loved fishing, playing cards, enjoying his coffee, the Cleveland Browns, Si Fi, and traveling. Additionally, he enjoyed BBQ sessions and was an avid listener of Blues music. Known as a fashion critic among friends and family, he often faced challenges when it came to choosing attire for himself. His passion for cars was also a notable aspect of his personality, reflecting his vibrant spirit.

Neal is survived by his devoted children, LaMishyia Hudson, Derrick Kennedy, LaSommer Hudson, and Clifton Thomas. He was a proud grandfather to Mikyah "Mack" Hudson, Brooklyn Hudson, Harlem Hudson, Mylee Meyer, Zayne Thomas, and Zylah Thomas. His loving mother, Edna Hudson-Dennis, and her husband Walter, his siblings Rosetta Blakely (and husband Eugene), Cathy Hudson, Tamara Hudson, Edward Porche, and Clyde Hudson, along with his brother Herman Hudson Jr. (and wife Jacqueline), and god-son Devon Hall are also left to honor his memory. Additionally, LaWanda Hudson, who held a special place in his life as a life partner, will continue to cherish the moments they shared. He is also remembered fondly by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Neal follows in death his father, Herman Hudson Sr., and his siblings: Vernon Hudson, Brenda Hudson Phillips, and Geneva Kynard.
