Ollie Jane Meck
October 24, 1918 — August 31, 2017
Our beloved Ollie Jane Meck, age 98, passed away August 31, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare - Sylvania Center. Ollie was born October 24, 1918 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Willis and Mae Carroll. She was employed with General Mills for more than 30 years.Ollie loved to travel to Northern Michigan for mushroom season and family gatherings. She also loved to make homemade pies in between her bargain hunting expeditions.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Geraldine) Meck and Sharon Hopkins; grandchildren, Michele Meck and Dawn and Scott Hopkins and great granddaughter, Aurora.
Ollie is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ruth Rankin and Celeste Mull and brother, Louis Carroll.
The family would like to thank Genesis Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
