Olga Carle (nee Tober),96, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. One of 6 children, she was born on August 30, 1922 in Hermannsbad, Germany to Heinrich and Amalie Tober. After WWII the family was displaced by the Russians and eventually settled in Darmsheim, Germany. She later moved to Toledo, Ohio where she lived with her sister and brother-in-law Martha and Willi Henoch and their son Hans. She worked as a seamstress for many years. In May 1972 she married Fritz Carle in Toledo, Ohio and moved to Lambertville, Michigan. He preceded her in death in 1987.
Olga was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, GBU District 510, the GAF retirees, and the GAF Society (German-American Festival).
Olga is survived by her nephew Hans O. Henoch (Tracy Decker) of Lambertville, Michigan; Tracy's children Bill Decker III and Marci Sinay; sister-in-law Anneliese Tober of Dagersheim, Germany and their families; as well as other family members and friends in Germany and the United States. Olga was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fritz, sister Martha Henoch, brothers Heinrich, Emil, Gustav and her twin brother Otto Tober.
The family will receive friends at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 Laskey Rd. in Toledo (419-473-0300) on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 10:00 AM to Noon. The service will follow at Noon with Pastor Beth Huener officiating. Interment will be immediately following the service at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park in Toledo.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Toledo Holzhacker Buam Children's Tracht fund.
