Norvell Ray Combs
Norvell R. Combs, age 74 of Walbridge passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005 surrounded by his family. He was born May 26, 1930 to Alex and Jessie (Step) Combs in Huntington, West Virginia. Norvell moved to Bowling Green Ohio where he met and married his wife, Shirley (Gates) Combs. He was employed with Seaway Foodtown for many years retiring in 1994. Norvell was a dedicated father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Norvell was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Combs and brother, Alex Combs, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Gary (Sue); Timothy (Lisa); Cindy (Steve) Webb and Jeff; grandchildren, Timothy; Jodi; Daniel; Angela; Stacey; Paige; Nicole; Ashley; David; Olivia and Amanda; 8 great grandchildren; brothers, Russell; Charles; Kenneth and Shade Combs and sisters, Nora Dutridge; Wanda Wolford and Susan Machnicki.
The family will receive guests Friday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Mr. Michael Pence.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Northwest Ohio Hospice.
