Norman J. Kwiatkowski, former resident of Westmonte Road in Toledo, OH for 60 years, passed away on March 11, 2024, at age 89. Beloved father of Norma Kwiatkowski (Joseph Stalma), Angie Belden (Paul), Patty Connor (John) and Karen Landis (Roger). Treasured "Dzia-dzia" of Lyndsay Stalma (Mike), Brittney Murphy (Kyle), Joey Stalma, and Kelsey Stalma (Mike), Justin Belden (Katie), Paul Belden, Tyler Connor (Leah), Keghan Connor, Jordan Connor (Whitney), Morgan Connor, Wyatt Schwartz (Terra), and Jenna Landis. Adored great "Dzia-dzia" of Ayva, Eleanor, Mabel, Ella, Aram, Ivy, Lila, Braelynn and Weston. He also leaves behind in-laws, nieces, and nephews from the Kwiatkowski and Doran family, as well as special family friends.
Norman is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years; Eleanor M. (Doran) Kwiatkowski, his parents; Joseph and Josephine Kwiatkowski, siblings; Isabelle Bieszczad and Melvin Kwiatkowski.
Norman went to St. Anthony during his grade school years, and attended Macomber High School where he learned his trade as a Pattern Maker. He worked for Erler Corporation and Seaway Pattern before retiring in 1996. In his earlier years, Norman was drafted into the United States Army in 1959. Norman later met Eleanor, while bowling, and they married in 1963. Eleanor always insisted she was the one who proposed to him at the bowling alley, and they went on to spend many happy years together. He enjoyed the New York Yankees and was Notre Dame's #1 football fan. He spent many Sunday mornings listening to the Polish Polka Party. Being a master craftsman, Norman was very meticulous about his fix-it skills. He was known to be able to fix and repair just about anything, as well as the things he crafted for his children and grandchildren throughout the years. Norman always had a witty line or a quick comeback.
Norman "Stormin' Norman" has more titles than "Dad", he was the "Neighborhood Mole Exterminator", "Squirrel Relocator", and polish dill pickle maker. As Norman's family remembers him, with a highball glass of Black Velvet with a splash of water, his memory lives on and he will be dearly missed.
