Norman Davis

Norman Dale Davis, age 74 of Sylvania died at his home on February 10, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. He would have celebrated his 75th birthday on March 1st. Norm was a lifelong resident of the Toledo area and was a 1947 graduate of Woodward High School. He was employed by Kuhlman Engineering for 30 years, retiring in 1991. An active and devoted member of First Apostolic Church, Norm served on the Advisory Board, as a head usher and the Senior Choir Director.

Norman is survived by his devoted wife, Golda Davis; three children, Brenda (Warren) Hunt; Randy (Marianne) Compton and Karen (Steve) Wagner; seven grandchildren, one brother, Don (Helen) Davis and many nieces, nephews and a host of church family.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the first Apostolic Church, 5701 Sylvania Ave. Officiating will be Rev. J. Mark Jordan. A private interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
