Norman A. Nowicki

Norman A. Nowicki, 82, passed away on December 21, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 31, 1930 to the late Anthony and Sophie Nowicki in Toledo, Ohio.
Norm retired from the City of Toledo Fire Department after 28 years of service. He was also well-known for his masonry skills, building many homes and fireplaces over 40 years. Norm graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1948. He enlisted in the Marine Corps. after high school and served in the Korean Conflict. Norm enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and playing the ponies. He especially loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Norm was preceded in death by his brother, David. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Bernadine; sons, Fred (Josie), Wayne and Robert; brother, Thomas (Barbara); grandchildren, Kristi (Ryan) Baker, Brian, Alexis and Adam and great-grandchildren, Cameron and Madison.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A Funeral Service will begin at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the charity of the donor's choice.
