Norma J. Bartelt

Norma J. Bartelt, age 78, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014. She was born on August 25, 1935 in Berea, Kentucky to Cleve and Myrtle (Ritchie) Brewer. Many people will remember Norma from being a playground supervisor at Monac Elementary School and also working at the family bait shop, Brewer's Boat & Bait Shop. She was an avid Detroit Tiger's fan and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Cliff (Karen) Bartelt; daughter, Chris Carr; special son, Denny (Ginny) Bowerman; grandchildren, Ashley (Brandon), Gregory, Alexia, Alana and Nicolas; 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and great-grandson, Rex Oliver.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday, April 4, 2014 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
