Norm Drogmiller II

Norm Drogmiller II, born on March 3, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away on January 27, 2025, in his beloved hometown. Norm lived a life rich with laughter, family, and dedication to his career, leaving behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by many.

A proud graduate of Rogers High School in 1972, Norm began his career as a Journeyman Pipefitter for Doehler-Jarvis, where he worked until 1998. His dedication to his trade continued at various other companies in Toledo, reflecting his strong work ethic that defined his professional life. In addition to his work as a pipefitter, Norm was known as the voice of the Bowsher Rebels for over twenty years, a role that endeared him to the community and showcased his vibrant personality.

Norm was not only dedicated to his work but was also a loving family man. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always showing up to support his kids and grandkids at their various events. His family took great joy in his playful humor and his talent for tinkering in the garage, where he would often be found building or improving something, bringing his innovative ideas to life. He loved watching home improvement shows and Christmas Movies from the Hallmark Channel. Norm also had a passion for sports and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and The Ohio State Buckeyes, enjoying many spirited games with family and friends.  

He is survived by Mary Catherine Drogmiller, his devoted wife of 47 years; his daughters Heather Drogmiller-Allen and Jonathan Umbles,  Katie Stockmaster, who is married to Michael; and his beloved grandchildren: Owen Allen, Kenzi Allen, Ethan Stockmaster, and Vada Stockmaster. Norm is also survived by three great-grandsons: Oliver, Emerson, and Greyson; his brother Michael Drogmiller and wife Darlene; his sister Nancy Carr and Keith Pasztor; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will deeply miss his presence.

Norm was preceded in death by his four legged friend, Mollie Mae. The two of them were always together after he retired. 

Visitation will take place on February 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Toledo, located at 4150 W Laskey Rd, Toledo, OH 43623, with a Masonic Service at 5:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held on February 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM, also at Newcomer Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania at 12:30 PM.

Norm Drogmiller II will be remembered for his humor, his commitment to family, and his positive spirit. His legacy will continue through the love he instilled in those who knew him.
